Privacy Policy

1. Who runs this app

ThinkPrayDo is operated by Heather Easterday as a private, personal project. It is not a commercial service. There is no public sign-up form. The only intended recipients are family members who have given Heather explicit permission to send them devotional content by email and SMS.

2. Information we collect

The app stores only what is needed to deliver the daily messages:

  • The recipient's first name, email address, and mobile phone number
  • The verse the recipient picks each week
  • Logs of which messages were sent successfully and when

We do not collect device identifiers, location data, advertising IDs, or any analytics about web traffic to thinkpraydo.com. There is no account or password.

3. How we use information

The recipient's contact information is used for one purpose:

  • To send the weekly verse-picker message and the daily Mon–Sat Think/Pray/Do messages by email and SMS, at the recipient's chosen time of day.

We do not use contact information for marketing, promotions, or any purpose other than the devotional messages themselves.

4. SMS / text messaging

Frequency. Up to seven SMS messages per week (Sunday verse-picker plus daily Mon–Sat).

Consent. SMS is sent only to family members who have given Heather explicit, prior verbal or written consent to receive these messages. There is no public opt-in form.

Opt out. Reply STOP to any SMS at any time to be unsubscribed immediately. Reply HELPfor help. Standard message and data rates may apply from the recipient's mobile carrier.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

No third-party use of phone numbers. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. Email

Emails are sent from daily@thinkpraydo.com. Each email contains an unsubscribe link. To opt out by email at any time, click that link or reply asking to be removed.

6. Service providers

We use the following third-party services strictly to operate the app. Each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments:

  • Vercel — application hosting (privacy)
  • Resend — sends the daily emails (privacy)
  • Twilio — sends the daily SMS messages (privacy)
  • Anthropic — generates the weekly devotional content from Bible commentary; receives only public sermon / passage / commentary text, not recipient contact information (privacy)
  • GitHub — source-code hosting (no recipient data stored)

7. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share recipient contact information with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any unrelated purpose. The service providers listed above process data only on our behalf to deliver the messages.

8. Data retention and deletion

Recipient contact information is retained for as long as the recipient is subscribed. After unsubscribing (or upon request), contact information is deleted from the active database within 30 days, except for minimal records required to honor an unsubscribe choice.

9. Children's privacy

ThinkPrayDo is intended for adult family members. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
